E-Mod 1.8 Readme - [Spell] Healing

Healing

This power is well known among the pacifist of Uliuth, but has become a power used by Hunter field medics. They've been able to restore the injured back to health, sooth their minds, and even return them from the dead. A great power indeed. It is extremely rare to find a vampire with this kind of knowledge. (Updated as of Build 5)

Recovery Spell

Casting Cost: none
Upkeep Cost: none
Target: Self
Subject Defenses: Can be spell tapped

Description: This can be quite a powerful spell, but it requires you to remain still while it's active. This will restore mana over time for humans and restore blood over time for non-humans. So you can see what advantage a vampire would have with this. Most vampires reform from the blood hunts after acquiring this knowledge. On a critical success you gain 1 extra point of blood or mana per second. On a critical failure you are stunned for a duration based on your skill level and stamina.

Heal Spell

Casting Cost: 10 per Skill Level
Upkeep Cost: none
Target: Self
Subject Defenses: Can be spell tapped.

Description: This will heal your wounds and even cure diseases and poisons. On a critical success your healing is more potent. On a critical failure you are stunned for a duration based on your skill level and stamina.

Heal Others Spell

Casting Cost: 10 per Skill Level
Upkeep Cost: none
Target: Enemy/Friendly
Subject Defenses: Can be spell tapped.

Description: This will heal your subject's wounds and even cure diseases and poisons. On a critical success your healing is more potent. On a critical failure you are stunned for a duration based on your skill level and stamina.

Life Shield Spell

Casting Cost: 5 per Skill Level
Upkeep Cost: 2 per Skill Level per/1min
Target: Enemy/Friendly
Subject Defenses: Can be spell tapped.

Description: This interesting power allows you to protect a subject by assuring that all damage that would have gone to him/her will be transferred to you. The amount you will absorb is 20% per Skill Level up to a maximum of 100% at level 5. Risky, but is a righteous act when used to protect the innocent. This will actually raise your humanity when protecting innocence from harm. On a critical success all costs are halved in casting and upkeep. On a critical failure you are stunned for a duration based on your skill level and stamina.

Undead Ward Spell

Casting Cost: 3 per Skill Level
Upkeep Cost: 2 per Skill Level per/30sec
Target: Surrounding Area
Subject Defenses: Can be spell tapped.

Description: Repels all enemy vampires and other undead from your position by causing them fear. This does not work with all though so be warned. This is a more lingering version of Chaos spell that will continue to repel the subjects for as long as upkeep is paid. The affected subject's will loose some of their wits based on your skill level. On a critical success the surrounding subjects will loose even more wits and on a critical failure you are stunned for a duration based on your skill level and stamina.

Restore Humanity Spell

Casting Cost: 10 per Skill Level
Upkeep Cost: none
Target: Enemy/Friendly
Subject Defenses: Can be spell tapped.

Description: Restores a bit of the subject's humanity. Cast continuously to restore more humanity to the subject. It will increase the subjects humanity by an amount equal to your skill level. On a critical success this will restore double the amount of humanity thus increasing the chances of restoring humanity to an evil subject. On a critical failure the subject's humanity well be lost based on your skill level. At higher levels the loss is reduced on critical failures. NOTE: Truly evil subjects will not be affected by this while those that are good natured will benefit more.

Resurrection Spell

Casting Cost: 20 per Skill Level
Upkeep Cost: none
Target: Enemy/Friendly
Subject Defenses: none

Description: Revives the fallen back to life and places the recovery effect on them. On a critical success the subject will receive an extra point of recovery per second and on a critical failure you are stunned for a duration based on your skill level and stamina.
