Single Player mode does not have ANY network connectivity. You need to use the Multiplayer mode to have players connect.

I meant if it was possible to add joinable companions in Embrace and then run the chronicle in singleplayer mode, ending up with a coterie of AI characters like in the original singleplayer campaign.

Coterie setups have to be done in Java.

When using some of the original maps(saved under a different name) in singleplayer mode, the camera behaves a little odd, like this:

Any idea why this happens?

That's actually normal. The camera is "bumping" into the ceiling though I rather thought the ceiling was "smoother" than that. But it's not a camera problem, it's a map problem.

Yeah, I don't recall having this issue in the original singleplayer campaign, and it never appears when running the same map in multiplayer. Anyhow, zooming in more on the character fixes it for now.

Was this an edited map? The Nod SDK technically isn't the same tool NSI used to export their maps. The source .map files might also be slightly altered. Check the ceiling in the embrace editor and see if it's surface is set to "decal."

Yes, I have done some minor editing of the map. I tried to set the roof to "decal"(it didn't have that set), but it didn't make a difference for what I can see.

I get some graphical glitches on the Old Town map, also in singleplayer. Maybe something gets messed up when exporting the original maps. I haven't made any editing to the Old Town map, just added some layers, a custom scene, etc.

Yeah. That's "normal" because nihilistic obviously didn't use this tool to build those maps. You'll have to delete some of the brushes that are "corrupted" in the editor then rebuild some of them. Pretty much the only thing those maps are really good for are scene editing like what I did with AOR.
