AOR 2011 Crash after intro

Hi, (old player. haven't played in years)

I'm using the gog version of redemption, without any other mods and using the latest v1.1. When i start a new game using AOR 2011 i crash to desktop. the only error is "vampire-aor.exe has stopped working".

Any help is appreciated

Standard questions.  What operating system are you using?  Are you running compatibility mode, or which compatibility mode?  What's your java version?
