Rainmoon, here is the pic you requested about my Vampire Redemption shortcut.  Hope it uploads correctly (cause I don't know what I'm doing.  ) Hope I took a picture of the right thing too.

Yeah, that is pretty much it. So you ran that shortcut, entered the game, and get this when you press ~?

Nope.  Click on icon, game starts, press "~" unshifted shifted tryed them both, and that little box never comes up.    So like I said it must be my computer.  But thanks for all your time and help.    If you think of something let me know.  Thanks.

Just a note, but console does not activate at the title screen. Be sure you are actually in a game (single player or multiplayer) moving around.

Also try fiddling with your compatibility modes and see if those are doing something to console.
