Second Life
« on: 2007-05-12, 11:21:24 »
Second Life is some kind of MMORPG... well not exactly, but you can find millions of people willing to RP, this game its so damn easy to mod i seen people make props, hair styles, lands, Clothes, Figthing arena and other sex related objects... anyway, there is an option that lets you customize your char in pretty much infinite ways similar to the Sims 2 (but way more developed cause it lets you custom hair, body type and avatar size) you can even alter size and musculature.

Second Life has tons of groups related to vampires where you can buy clothes, vamp bite animation, Hairs, objects and even scripted weapons... i once saw this gun that shock your char and threw it violently to the air... oh yes! and you can fly too from the beggining.... no idea where they got that from... anyway, the game is completely MODDABLE! i was amazed of how many fan developed content there is, if you know Java or C languages then you could probably make few scripts... anyway, i think im moving to this game because theres so many RPers and the modding tools are way to easy to mod, i found this tool called "avimator" that lets you make animations and its so damn easy to make animations, i could make an animation in 4 minutes with no knowledge of the damn tool... you can even import models and textures to the game or if modelling too hard, you can create objects IN GAME and alter them so that you dont need any modelling tool... this game its AMAZING! oh yes, and there is this economical system where you get to obtain "Linden" (i think thats the name of the money) where you can just buy a few hundreds for 1 US Dollar or just get a damn job in game where you can get payed, and if this wasent enough linden and bucks are inter changeable, that means you can convert dollars to linden and linden to real dollars!

Anyway, i just had to let you know how awsome this game is, but there is only one con i found about this game and the controls SUCK, AND I MEAN IT... its a little too hard to move your char arround, but once you get used its not too bad... (actually there is haha)  and the graphics... well they are way to similiar to the sims 2, maybe a little bit better if you got a good GPU. The engine of the game is at least better that Redemption engine, because you are not stuck to the floor and you can actually move freely.

Interesting... but what does Second Life have in the way of action? Can you make enemies that attack you?

I'll most likely move on the HL2 after Wodal is finished then do some modding for Doom3 if all goes well.
