Open Source WoD (Purchasing eBooks for Knowledge)
« on: 2007-02-09, 02:43:16 »
I just bought the Vampire The Masquerade eBook at DriveThruRPG. Here's a link:

http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1

It almost seems like buying them used, but you get your name planted on them as a watermark. The PDF files are of OK print, but I wished they were even higher. Well beggers can't be choosers. I figure I would purchase it legit like if I plan to start up on WoDal again during the summer. I want all of my knowledge to be from legit purchases. I plan to buy more books too. Those books include:

Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Mage: The Ascension
Hunter: The Reckoning
Demon: The Fallen
Mummy: The Ressurection

I don't know if I can do anything Wraith: The Oblivion related so I'm not sure whether I should purchase that eBook. I think I'll stick with those 6 elements listed above for WoDal and consider Wraith and maybe even Changling for a future open source project using a new [open source] engine of some kind.

What's it worth to ya'?

The Mummy books I'm a little confused on. Which one should I buy from this page?

Mummy: The Resurrection is the core book, right?

I bought that one. I appear to have the right one - it looks fairly updated (last print that is). All I have left from that list is the Mummy book. I bought all of the others.

Oh yeah. I'll want to buy the Dark Age sets too. These eBooks may be cheap, but they are starting to add up so I'll wait till next payday to buy more. I already spent $75 on WoD books last night and I have yet to purchase Mummy as well. I'll get mummy and the dark age sets on the 15th - assuming I get payed enough to afford them.

Dangit... I forgot about the Kindred of the East as well. I should have them all purchased by next payday.
