Yeah its indefinitely postponed. Fox and Universal pulled out coz Microsoft apparently want too much control so Hollywood doesnt bastardise its baby.

Personally i dont see why MS dont just fund it themselves....

true, but the blame of a shit film doesnt really lie with the company that financed it but the director/scriptwriter etc.

The script is a modified version of the one written by Alex Boyd (think thats his name anyway!), the English bloke who did the script for 28 Days Later and The Beach. Plus with Peter Jackson on board i dont think they could screw it up. I was really looking forward to this film, hope they find a way of getting it back on track.

Ok someone is either keeping removing my posts or something is wrong when I'm logged in, I repeat *sigh*

The project was taken its hands of by the big companies when the calculations of the total cost was about € 200mil more then originaly tought. (or 20mil, can't remember the amout but it was BIG). when the compagnies saw this, they pulled back due this was a bit too much for them, especialy since game => movie wasn't one of the greatest succeses in holywood (Paritaly tnx to the producers from Bloodrayne, Alone in the dark, ect Uwe Boll).

The reason microsoft doesn't does it himself is cause they got practicly no connections to distribute the movies, no partners in that business and have practicly no idea what to do, who to hire and so on. Wich is why we here compagnies like Warner bross, Sony Entertainement and 20th century movies. They got the contacts, the names, the graphical whores, location lists, studios, ect.
