Wii seems to be the more economic choice. I've noticed that 360 games are actually the MOST expensive - aside from PS3 games. Wii games look capped at $50, while 360 games can go as high as $70-80.

Depends on what you're into. I here that Zelda is pretty good, but 360 has quite a few good games like Gears of War, Dead Rising, and Oblivion. Crackdown is coming soon and so is Assasin's Creed. I think wii may go down thus another path of cutsyness. I want to wait and see where the wii goes.

I plan to get a 360 come spring depending on the way things are going around here. I will buy it as a reward to myself for surviving another semester of college.

Well, personally id say get a 360. But im bound to say that as ive owned one for nearly a year now!

The Wii has some interesting games, but im waiting to see if the machine and its controllers just end up being a gimmick. Its for the more casual gamer as far as im concerned. Nintendo are going for the mass-market with games that appeal to everyone.

The 360 has a lot of exclusive games coming out for/already out. Gears of War is fantastic, Viva Pinata is great, Lost Planet comes out in a few days, Dead Rising is brilliant, Crackdown is coming out soon, Saints Row is great, Mass Effect looks fantastic, Bioshock looks ace, its the only console that has a tried and tested online capability (Xbox Live is now in its 4th year), Xbox Live Marketplace is great (and has a lot of stuff on it if you live in the US, tv shows, films etc.) & realtime online voicechat in all online games, Xbox Live Arcade is brilliant: Doom, old arcade games, new third party games like Roboblitz, Novadrome etc.

I think the 360 has everything that makes a great games machine and is a lot cheaper than the PS3, which while its more powerful on paper, the end results aren't any better than the 360 - which shouldnt be the case as the 360 is a year older than the PS3.

Get a Wii if you want to play party games and/or kiddie/simplistic games, get a 360 if you want a more capable machine with a huge library of games available already...plus, if you get a 360 then i could whoop your ass on some games!!  ;D

The ass whoopin part souns appealing, nah actually the exclusive gameys;p
But ayes i m afraid the WIIi will end up bringin a load of "connect-this-to-the-gameboy-printer-pokemons" kiddie stuff, but on the other side it ll look cute for the gals...
Hmm,guess I ll wait and save for the 360,if the Wii is si cheap I can always get it later ons...

I was goiung to get a 360 now, but I figured I would wait till I'm off from school (Spring Vacation). I'm afraid I'll be distracted too much.

I dunno, I was planning to get the Wii, as its going to get a quite good number of good games like kingdome of hearts, Naruto, Dbz, zelda, but on the other side, X360 has some wicked gamesl ike assasins creed, Gears of war. so I got a hard time picking.

360 all the way... no matter how much i love nintendo, i can see the same kiddie games that swarmed the cube... and this is only the beggining... nintendo has to do something about COOL games, not just fun... i rather not play a game that is fun but lacks the coolness of most 360 games... wii games gets boring after a while... no matter how fun are they in the beggining... and the list of games is SO SMALL.
Victims... arent we all?

I tottally agree with Lobo, I own a Wii and it is so fun at the begging, but thats where it ends. You play for awhile, and ur like wow, its so fun, OMG! when I move the contoller it moves too!!, but thats it, it quickly wares off. Theres a lot of games that I find, that dont need the motion sensor, it just makes things complicated and stupid, the Wii is still gonna end up the gamecube if it continues like this.

Well sen, I'll see you on x-box live come spring/summer. I'm so getting a 360.

Whoohoo! Everyone here should get on the 360 bandwagon!!

Just read this on Gamespot:

The game formerly known as Elebits will now be known as Eledees in Europe. A spokesperson for its publisher, Konami, said, "We needed a game name that could be used all over Europe." The game, which was released in the US in December 2006, is slated for a second-quarter release in the UK. The game will be Konami's debut title for the Wii platform.

In Elebits/Eledees, players take on the role of a young boy called Kai, who must search for and capture mysterious creatures. There are 25 stages in the single-player mode and more than 15 different types of creatures, each of which will require a different strategy to catch. There will also be a multiplayer mode, which supports up to four players, and an edit mode, where users can create their own stages, goals, and gameplay parameters, which can then be traded using Nintendo's WiiConnect24 service.

That just sums up what type of game will be mostly coming out on the Wii for me. I dont want to be catching cute little creatures, i want to be mashing up zombies in Dead Rising with a handbag i just stole from a womens fashion shop or taking out terrorists in Las Vegas in Rainbow Six or playing the follow up to System Shock 1&2, Bioshock.
