WoD Future MMORPG
« on: 2007-01-01, 20:59:22 »
What would you like to see if this WoD MMORPG game is ever developed? well for me:

1- Lan MP option or by IP Direct Connect, like diablo 2 (this prevents pk a lot by playing with just friends)

2- Control over Pks with non-pk servers and special Pk servers

3- ALOT OF CHAR appearence options like Hair style, Hair Colors, type of face, skin tones, eyes and eyes colors, male/female, tatoos, body type (Bulky, skinny, atlethic, etc) and a ton of goth/punk like clothes, including leather.

4- Live quests, like in matrix online.

5- Lots of WoD creatures to be playable like Vampires, Werewolves, Human Hunters, Human Mages, Demons, and some other of Undead that is not zombie like or vampire like.

6- Lots of Weapons and Items

7- Third person view gameplay with matrix like moves (kinda like in gunz) that require actual skill, cause im SICK of this stat based systems that require just to be high lvl to kill your opponent.

8- a option at char creation that enables hardcore RP that if your player gets killed once... BYE BYE for ever, this could be done in special Server.
Victims... arent we all?

I don't know about supporting an mmorpg. I would like them to make a storyteller based game, but as you said with more elements than just vampires.

I would hope they would allow us to make new maps, skins, and various quests to go along with them.

I dunno, to me, WoD just doesnt seem that its the right thing to be a mmorpg. I mean playin wod online is so funn rping and stuff, but theres allways some controlling it, progressing the story, an ST, so yeah

- Own havens. Add a system that allows you to have a key or codewich you can use to get acces to your haven. Wich you can give to other or copy they key to give to others.
- Customisable weapons, yet down overpower. Change colors, looks, ect
- very detailed character creations
- cars, bikes, motorcycles, ect
- Clan wars
- Constant changing world (if a vampire totaly screws up, bloodhunts, if lots of players kill a certaint person, remove the person nexst patch)

Yeah, i rather have a normal game MP with ST... but they said it was gona be a MMORPG and i really dont thing mmorpg have like modding support since its always live... so we really have to give up the whole modding thing for any future wod mmorpg.

Now if its a Normal MP game i would like to see this:

1-Lan and IP option for internet access}

2-Advanced character custumization with the first post options.

3-ST mode

4-Modding support

5-LOTS and LOTS of emotes animations

6-Lots of unarmed and melee animations for attacks

7-Lots of clothes, armors, Weapons etc.
Victims... arent we all?

There never was an ST planned for Bloodlines.

I wouldn't have minded the MP it had tho, the whole hunters VS Vamps, i just displayed thier lazyness when they simply removed it. No wonder the game was pretty crap. The whole engine was messed up.

Another issue that pops up is whether they can make an MMO scary. WoD is supposed be based on the HORROR genre of pnp gaming and last I checked the only horror factor that comes with MMOs is from dumbass players that like to cyber in-game.

I like only PVP MMORPGs cause otherwise theres just no story for it and players never really folllow the story provided by the game otherwise. Regular Player versus monsters MMORPGs rarely have any real epic to it.

That said I think the Idea of making a WoD MMORPG competes in its stupidity with Microsoft's Shadowrun arena FPS project.

I like to roleplay (as in IC) in MMORPGs and I meet so few others who do , that most of the time when Im talking In character people dont know how to eat it up, most of them think your crazy cause you dont talk OOC.. there are exceptions but very few.

I think making a relativly small online ST based 3d graphic WoD game would prove a better project, especially since they(whoever developes it) dont have to throw lots of money on developing the game and as result dumps all support for the product.

Maybe we can join together to build an open source oWoD game with a little better graphics than Redemption and, of course, an ST  mode. I'm still in school learning code stuff, but (as a hobby) I could use my acquired knowledge and money to build something that is free and fun for the oWoD fans.

But that's off topic.
