Ghouls
« on: 2006-12-10, 18:59:44 »
I got a question...lol. It's about ghouls. For example, say theres this ghoul that is 60 years old, but became a ghoul when he was 20 or something, so he still looks 20, but what if he stopped drinking vampire blood, and became human again. How would he age?, would he start to age as if he left off at 20?, or would he start to look 60?

He would start to look 60. The effects are similar to how vampires work if a vampire was killed. You see vampires wont just turn to dust unless they are quite ancient. Otherwise a vampire will appear at the age they should be at the time of death. So it is possible that an ancient Ghoul that does not recieve his/her proper dose of vampire vitae would simply fall to dust.

okay, so if a vampire was killed, and you say it would like the age they should be at the time of death, say that vampire would have been at least 100 years old in mortal life, would he start to decompose or just look really old?

Decompose. The curse pretty much killed them and is merely keeping them animated through supernatural means.

If a human was made into a ghoul at 20 and loses his supply at 60, he will age normally. A year is a year. However, if the blood age of the ghoul is 100-250 years and the supply of vitae is cut off, they age ten times as fast (1 year is equal to 10). Any ghoul over 250 years will shatter the moment the last of the vitae is used up. The exception is revenants.

Any vampire whose blood age over 10 years will decompose rapidly upon the Final Death. If it's over a century they crumble to dust.

Thats a family ghoul thing?where being a ghoul runs in the family, lol. Where its been in the family for generations, so eventually you are born with a small amount of vampire blood

Well, you really simplified it, but yes, revenants are born as ghouls and have life spans that extend over centuries even if they do not have a domitor. They age as we do, but at a much slower rate. Creating a revenant family is incredibly difficult and takes literally centuries because of the "time freezing" properties of the Kindred vitae.
