Prefered Play Style

This poll was inspired by the Xbox website that I noticed is on Sengoku's signiture.

Here's an explaination of each choice. *YOU CAN CHOOSE UP TO THREE CHOICES*

Respective

Respective gamers don't care about winning or loosing. They only want to relax and enjoy the game, making sure everyone is having fun and following the rules.

Hardcore

Hardcore gamers want to win above all else. Their play style is more intense, but is always by the rules of the game. They want to fight with honor, assuring the survival of their team, and becoming rather upset about losses. Hardcore gamers want to have the highest scores and unlock all the coolest stuff.

Serious

Serious gamers (AKA Pros) prefer an orderly game.They tend to form clans or guilds and promote them as often as possible only to people they deem as 'worthy'. These gamers tend to participate in tournaments or other 'organized' or 'scheduled' play sessions more often than most.

Egobots

Egobots(AKA Cheaters) care little of the essence of the games. They care only about their own satisfaction even if it's at the cost of everyone elses enjoyment. Egobots are more likely to cheat in a game or hack into a game server.

Trasher

Trashers spend more time talking than actually playing the games. Trashers like to spend most of their time in multiplayer lobbies bad mouthing everyone around them.

Other

Well this is a category that doesn't fit with anything else. Please explain what this means in your comments if you choose this.

Mix

This is assuming more than just an occasional change in style. Choose this if you bounce around the gaming spectrum often.

If you were talking MMORPGs or even just other MP I think you forgot to add Grief player, which is the exact opposite of respective (making sure they are the only ones having fun and generally try to cheat in any way they can even if it means lagging the whole server).

I'd say Grief players sound like Egobots.

I didn't spend a lot of time on full descriptions.

I am definitely hardcore. I am beginning to slack off on video games in general, but when I play, it is always very intense. I often get target fixation, which is a term used by the military when a soldier focuses on one target and will do anything to eliminate that target even at the cost of their own lives, and that isn't necessarily a good thing.

I chose mix, because of the different types of games I play. For example, If its a game like Call of duty 2, Its Hardcore for me....lol. If its a game like..., World of warcfraft and stuff like that it's respective. Plus it all depends on my mood. Sometimes, I do wanna get invovled in a game, so then it would be hardcore, but other days I just wanna relax, and vedge out playing a game, so its a bit of respective, so yeah, lol.

Yeah I think I'm the same way. When I play games like Resident Evil, I get pretty hardcore - attempting to make best scores for good time and skill. Other times like playing Battlefield or Diablo2, I tend to like to relax and play mindlessly, while helping and cooperating with other players - assuming they aren't trying to challenge me.

Well i think i fall into the Respective category. Im not really fussed about winning or losing (although im obsessed with the Gamerscore aspect of the 360 - like the high scores tables of the Megadrive (Genesis) days - 10,000 points is on the horizon for me!) as long as im having fun and so is everyone else, thats whats games are about i reckon...having a laff.

Cant stand cheaters though. They drove me away from Counter Strike years ago.

Oh, and i like winning more than i like losing. Losing sucks ass!

I changed my vote to mixed. Thanks for that option Jakovis. When I think about it, sometimes it's more about how you fight rather than who wins or loses, as with Jedi Knight 3, and becomes more respectful. And other games like Redemption or KotOR have slow action so it becomes either "Other" or "Respectful." Other times I just want to be a god and become an Egobot, though I only do that in single-player only.

Im a mix of Respective and Trasher.

I only play games to have fun and relieve a bit of stress, but a some of the best fun ive had was from lobby banter. 

Vampire had some HUGE assholes but it was fun to watch em go at it.

Occasionally I'm Serious, I'm only an Egobot in single-player sometimes, and rarely am I a Trasher. Technically, you could say I am a mix, but I voted Respective and Hardcore.
